Transitions UK – Supporting disadvantaged youth at risk aged 14 to 25 yrs

Firewalkers raise vital funds to help Transitions UK

Feb 18

Twenty fearless firewalkers from Hitchin and the surrounding area walked over red-hot, 800 degree coals on 23 February at the Hitchin Priory to help raise funds for us.

Together they raised over £1,500 which will enable us to continue to fund the Aspire Project in Hertfordshire.

Launched in November 2017 in association with Hertfordshire Police, this project helps young people in Hertfordshire who are most at risk of offending, ensuring they receive the support they so desperately need.

One of the brave firewalkers, Krushna Makwana, said: “It was an exhilarating event and it personally enabled me to overcome some fears and issues. There was a great atmosphere and a friendly and warm welcome. I absolutely loved it!”

We are very grateful to all those who braved the cold to come and help us raise money to help disadvantaged young people.  We are planning on running another sponsored firewalk in November so do get in touch if you are interested.
