Transitions UK is a charity with a focus on the Lives and futures of disadvantaged young people to ensure they transition to healthy, happy and fulfilled adult lives.
Disadvantage among children and young people in the UK is rife – especially among those groups we aim to work with, including young people with special needs and disabilities, those with mental health and emotional needs, those at risk of offending and those leaving care.
We are beginning our journey helping young people in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and North London and will later expand our services to cover other communities throughout England and Wales.
We are looking for people, companies and organisations to support and work with us to help the most disadvantaged young people in communities close to where you live and work?
At this stage, we relyalmost entirely on individual, charitable trust and corporate donations, so your support is crucial in enabling us to transform more lives. For each and every young person we help, there are thousands more we haven’t yet reached. Please help us to make a difference today.
There are many ways you can show your support, either as an individual, company or trust.
Our Delivery Partners
We believe in partnership and we are incredibly grateful for the partners we have who support our work in different ways. That ranges from the schools and colleges, local authorities and other agencies who refer to us, to partners like Tokko, who hire their premises to us for our after schools clubs and to High Town Baptist church who provide premises to support our Phase 2 work with special needs, to use of the bus shelter project in Milton Keynes and links with Watford FC and Edmonton Rangers YFC. We actively look for creative ways to work together with others and believe that’s always best when its a two-way process. We look forward to hearing from you.
Transitions UK offers unique opportunities for companies wanting to align with a charity working in their own community, which works to create new life opportunities for disadvantaged young people. That could be through disability and special needs, mental and emotional illness, social and economic background or poor education and lack of opportunity and support.
We actively seek mutually beneficial partnerships, so that you and your business can also benefit – at the same time as changing the lives of our young beneficiaries. Sounds exiting doesn’t it?
Becoming a volunteer is a great way to get involved in the work of the charity and at the same time invest in your own development and ability to contribute to others. We need volunteers at all levels, provided you are reliable and have a genuine desire to help.
Volunteer mentors for all our young peoples projects;
Fundraising volunteers to help with our events and challenges or organise their own on our behalf
Admin volunteers to support our office and finance processing, including volunteering admin!
Ask us - its rare we cant find a role for someone that utilises their skills and experience.
Charitable Trusts and Foundations
We simply would not be here without the partnership and support of the generous Trust and Grant making bodies who have supported our launch and development. Here is a list of some of those trusts and foundations etc. (not all want to be published). We are enormously grateful for their support and partnership.
