Volunteer

We are absolutely reliant upon volunteers to change young lives and futures. Your skills and experience and your desire to help are key to the support we can offer. We need all sorts of volunteers and from all ages - peer volunteers and befrienders to mature volunteers with packs of life experience and skills to share.

Our volunteers always tell us the receive so much more than they give in terms of both their own personal (and professional) development and the satisfaction of making such an important contribution to someone’s life.

Full training and induction is given and all expenses are payable. A satisfactory DBS and references will be required.

Support Volunteers (mentors/befrienders) for our Projects – ring us on 01582 380620 and ask for:

Michelle Sharpe, to help young people with Learning Disabilities in Bedfordshire, or ring her direct on 07427 851576

Vanessa Leroux, Project Manager, to help vulnerable young people leaving care in Milton Keynes and N Bucks, or ring her direct on 07889 560425

Come and work with the young people we help and support. You will be part of a ongong support programme and you need to be able to offer regular weekly suooort for at least a year. Depending upon the project that could be an hour or two each week to a 4 hour after schools club session. You to be willing to commit to staying involved with these young people forthat period because we know that consistent ongoing support is key to developing trust and provides the platform for development. The service is relationally based and you’ll need to give time and commitment to make that work.

Ambassadors – ring Ron Overton on 01582 380620 or 07939510922

We are keen to recruit people who will represent us in a particular area or region or who have particular contacts who can help us increase our funding, profile and opportunity.

We also want to recruit people who will represent us and the needs of vulnerable young people today within their own organisations. That might be a company or another youth organisation like scouts or guides etc. It might be within your church or faith group. It might be in local politics or in a school, college or elsewhere in the community.

Fundraisers – ring Ron Overton, CEO or Katie Hall, Admin and Activities Co-ordinator 01582 380620

We would love to hear from you if you would like to help us raise some money from our own or your own fundraising event. You can work across and range of areas and time commitments.

Administration and event organisers – ring Katie Hall on 01682 380620 as above
